Skylar Adams, 6

Skylar is a fighter who was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma on October 30, 2023, just one month before her fifth birthday. Since her diagnosis, Skylar has bravely undergone seven rounds of chemotherapy, followed by surgery on Good Friday 2024, where doctors successfully removed the main tumor. She then began a rigorous treatment plan, including 10 cycles of combined chemotherapy and immunotherapy, spaced every three weeks, along with 12 days of proton radiation in September. Over the past 15 months, Skylar has faced countless challenges, endured numerous procedures, frequent lab draws, and hospital stays.

Once a shy girl who often hid behind her outgoing twin sister, Skylar has found her voice and strength throughout this journey. More than anything, she dreams of being "a kid again" and returning to school alongside her sister. Incredibly, her latest scans show no evidence of disease (NED), and she is set to complete at least two more rounds of immunotherapy in the coming months. If her scans remain clear, she will soon have the joyful moment of ringing the bell to mark the end of her treatment.

Skylar dreams of becoming a chiropractor and looks up to her hero, Dr. Gerstle. She loves reading, building Legos, and enjoying homemade meals.

Skylar is especially excited for the Children's Cancer Fund Gala because she loves dressing up in pretty clothes and celebrating with fellow fighters! Donate in honor of Skylar below.
