Matthew Haynes, 13
Matthew’s world was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with cancer, but he has faced every challenge with strength and perseverance. He never complains, always stays grateful, and continues to inspire those around him. A true fighter, Matthew hopes to ring the bell in September 2025, marking the end of his treatment.
A seventh grader at Kaufman ISD, Matthew dreams of becoming a welder or electrical engineer. He is a huge baseball fan, looking up to his hero, Marcus Semien, and he also loves the Cowboys. With a “magical touch” for fishing, he shares a special bond with his “Pop Pop,” spending time hunting and fishing together.
Matthew is excited for the Children’s Cancer Fund Fashion Show because it gives him the chance to meet inspiring people who motivate him to keep going.
