ZaZa, 7, and Jax, 13, love crafts. Between their cancer treatment hospitalizations and isolation precautions during the pandemic, they each created items during individual playroom time for SPACE theme week at Children’s Health. Both patients created their masterpieces with silver paint, paper plates, puffy letters, markers, and more.
They could not wait to show off their spaceships and astronauts, and with Child Life assistant Bridgette’s planning and gift cards provided by Children’s Cancer Fund, these crafts can soar and walk the moon.
These donations are critical to continue providing patients gifts that are empowering and individualized to their unique interests, goals, and aspirations – particularly during these challenging times where other types of support or presence cannot be safely provided.
