Libby Evans
Libby is a resilient warrior who faced the challenges of ewing's sarcoma at the age of 8. She underwent chemotherapy and radiation to combat this diagnosis, experiencing a three and a half year period of remission. During this time, Libby was able to resume normal activities, including playing sports.
Unfortunately, a fracture expedited the need for hip replacement surgery and to her and her family’s surprise, the diagnosis revealed osteosarcoma in her right femur, a consequence of the earlier radiation treatment.
This marked the beginning of a new battle with a different form of cancer, necessitating chemotherapy and another surgery. Libby's second surgery went well, and with determination and physical therapy, she regained the ability to walk. Currently undergoing her second-to-last rounds of chemotherapy, Libby and her family are counting down the days until the completion of treatment.
Libby is excited to walk in the fashion show because it will be a fun experience! If you would like to join us in celebrating Libby at the Children’s Cancer Fund Gala, click HERE for more information.
