Lauren Gutierrez, 12
Lauren’s cancer journey began when she was admitted to the ER at Children's Plano with severe abdominal pain, which led to surgery. When the biopsy results confirmed ovarian cancer, she underwent three cycles of chemotherapy. After months of strength and perseverance, Lauren finished treatment in April 2024 and is now cancer-free! She continues with imaging every six months and blood work every three months to monitor her health.
A world traveler, Lauren has already explored Barcelona and Italy, and she dreams of becoming a lawyer one day. She loves fashion, swimming, video games, and jamming out to ’90s rock and pop—especially Weezer.
Inspired by Mr. Beast, she is excited for the Children’s Cancer Fund Gala because she will get to be a part of something that helps raise funds for children still fighting cancer.
