Kira Handrale, 9
Kira is a bright and talented fourth grader with a love for math, reading, and dance—especially Classical and Bollywood. She was diagnosed with cancer, and while the journey has been challenging, it has brought her family closer together. Kira’s strength and resilience shine through in everything she does.
A passionate singer, Kira dreams of sharing her voice with the world and looks up to biologist Rachel Carson as her hero. She enjoys playing make-up and dolls with her sisters, finishing a book a day, and practicing meditation.
Kira is thrilled to walk in the Children’s Cancer Fund Fashion Show, not only because she’ll be "famous," but also because she wants to help raise money for the hospital. She’s especially excited to share this special moment with her grandmother, who is traveling from India to be there.
