Cannon McGough

Cannon is a resilient fighter who embarked on a courageous battle against Stage 4 Embryno Rhabdomyosarcoma. This journey began on November 24, 2022 when he was admitted to the hospital after two weeks of severe illness. Diagnosed with a sinus tumor and lung spots, Cannon spent three weeks on the ventilator at Children’s Dallas.

Despite the challenges, he underwent his first round of chemotherapy to shrink the tumor and remove the ventilator. His ability to communicate during this time left an indelible mark, and everyone came to know his name.

Cannon completed 28 chemo treatments on a 44-week cycle, including 33 proton therapy sessions, and the triumph came on September 21, 2023, with clear scans. Throughout this journey, the unwavering support of friends and family has been the pillar holding the family strong.

Cannon is excited to walk the runway to wear a game day suit with shades and a gold chain like Joe Burrow! If you would like to join us in celebrating Cannon at the Children’s Cancer Fund Gala, click HERE for more information.
